该等Windows 7发布后再买电脑

　　Q: Best Buy is offering a free upgrade to Windows 7 if you purchase a machine today that has Vista. Is it better to wait to buy after the release of Windows 7?
　　问：百思买(Best Buy)称，如果现在购买带Vista操作系统的电脑，其将提供免费升级至Windows 7的服务。是否最好还是等到Windows 7发布后再买？

　　A: I'd say so. If you buy a Vista machine now, you'll likely have to spend at least some time upgrading, and you may run into at least minor issues, which something that sometimes happens even with straightforward upgrades. Since PCs preloaded with Windows 7 are only two weeks away, it's worth the wait, unless you are need of a new PC right away.
　　答：我觉得是这样。如果现在买Vista电脑，你可能还得花点时间升级，而且可能还会遇到一些小问题，即便是直接升级有时也免不了。既然预装Windows 7的电脑只有两周就上市了，还是值得等一等，除非你马上就需要新电脑。

　　Q: I read that upgrading to Windows 7 deactivates the license key for any prior version of Windows, ruling out any chance of reversing the upgrade iIs this true? If I am going to take the plunge into Windows 7, I want to make sure I can go back if I'm unhappy.
　　问：据说升级到Windows 7会令此前的Windows版本的序列号失效，升级后就不能回到原先的版本了。是这样吗？如果要冒险尝试Windows 7，我想确定如果不喜欢的话还能恢复以前的版本。

　　A: Microsoft says that's false. The company emailed me to say: 'The upgrade process does not deactivate the product key for the previous version of Windows. If you need to uninstall Windows 7 and go back to your previous version of Windows, you can activate it using the original product key.'
　　答：微软说并不是这样。微软给我发邮件说，升级过程并不会令Windows原先版本的产品序列号失效。如果需要卸载Windows 7，回到原来的Windows版本，可以用最初的序列号激活。
