中英文访谈实录：外籍专家教你用英语约会

主持人:Are there something that we should be aware of? 有哪些地方是我们需要注意的呢？

J.M.: Of course anywhere you go, obviously for the men that are listening. You should always be respectful for your taking-out. Especially if she lives with her parents or friends, make sure you have her back at proper time, make sure when you do go to pick her up, introduce yourself to her friends or family. And it's always very polite to let someone else know she is going out on a date with you, in that way they feel more secure where she is and what time she'll be home.

当然，无论去哪里，尤其是男生们要听好了。你要尊重你的约会对象。尤其当她和家人或朋友住在一起的时候，要在该送她回家的时候送她回家，要在接她走的时候向她的家人或朋友介绍你自己。让别人知道她是和你出去约会是有礼貌的表现，这样，知道她在哪里，她将什么时候回家，他们才会放心。

主持人:Could you tell us, what are some of the things we should say during a business meeting? what are some of the things we should be aware of?

J.M.: One of the biggest things you should be aware of on a business date is that, always in business time is very important. I'm sure you've heard of the expression in english that time is money. And when you go on the business date the first thing you want to do is to be well prepared, you should know who you'll be speaking to, and more about their business.

在一个商务约会中，你最需要注意的就是遵守时间。我肯定你们听过那个英语的表达“时间就是金钱”。而当你去赴约的时候，最重要的是要做好充分的准备工作，你该清楚将要和谁见面，更多地了解对方的事情。

And it's always, I think, one lesson that American can learn from Chinese culture, you should always offer to pay for the lunch. It's polite, as well on a dinner on a business date to offer to pay, as you do in China to are you're little. "I check." "No, let me ok, let me ok."

付账的问题，我想，是美国人应该学习的中国文化的一部分。总要表示自己付账，午餐或商务晚餐，是礼貌的表现。和中国人吃饭总能听到“我买单”“不，我来吧，我来吧”。
