Tim_Russ:i think for me, one verybig misunderstanding in china is that spoken english is different from english.spoken english is part of english, it's actually the most difficult part. and that's why for us when we test people's english in ws, we test the spoken english. because basically if you can speak and use the language, for short you can understand, you can read and you can write. but spoken english and writing is very much the active parts of learning. you know reading, listening is mmore passive, speaking and writing is more active. and there is only one way:keep speaking, keep practicing, and keep using. but if you can to practice you spoken english, you have to systematicly practice. if you are practicing for a business english test, and every you talk about the weather, it doesn't help you. so you got to practice and speak at a level that you are going to need for the test. and prctice not just only on word, but on topics. so we could be today you gonna talk about marketing. have a discussion on marketing, focusing on the key words and the key ideas. focus on the finance and focus on the key words. and just really get use to speaking and practicing. and ask the next person, so you have to do this by with another person. so you need somebody to prepare what is their fonud teacher,or found a heishtest level, and you have to be prepared to respond quickly. i'v interviewed many peple,in english ,chinese, and see many tests. and they come prepared for the exact questions. they take the whole page, and they remember the whole anwsers. but as soon you ask a diggerent question, they don't know what to do, because they haven't remember that. because real english, every time we are asking questions, we are responding, we are not remembering one sentence, we taking different words and language and put them together. so i think the key for me is that you'v got to practice in a real situation, you'v got to get the other person to ask you many questions, make it difficult, so that you feel ready for one you do the spoken test.

Tim_Russ:i'll take one song that i think it is also very famous in china, it's not a very happy song, it's called "candle in the wind", this is actual written for Marilyn Monroe first, but i think most people know it because of princes Diana. so was rewritten again because of her. and it seems to me you lived your life like a candle in the wind. and i think it's also good for the chinese learner, because it not just a simple sentence, you have to use your imagination.
我喜欢《candle in the wind》。
